OLDEST HINDU CIVILIZATION - KEELADI 2500 years ago (3rd century ) Keeladi is the 2nd century city of Tamil Nadu. The village is called Keeladi and is located in Madurai district India. It is located 12 km southeast of Madurai. Keeladi existed before the time of Sangam. It is believed to be the largest civilization like Harappa and Mohenjodaro. It was an advanced civilization with international trade relations such as Rome, Egypt and China. Interesting facts : 1) It was beyond caste and creed .
